Veil Tutorials

Here on this page is a little help to find your perfect veil style,

We recommend that you attend some bridal fairs this is a perfect opportunity to see veils displayed on live models, it is easy to get a sense of which style compliments a particular gown or hairstyle of course this is no substitute for experimenting with different styles on your own head so check out the local bridal salons in your area.

Disguise your self as a paying customer and don’t feel guilty about it as a bridal salon salesperson may not be keen to assist you if they know you are there just to try on designs regardless of size your veil should be light in appearance so not to overpower you our your gown. But when you find the right one it should appeal to your personal taste and make you feel absolutely wonderful.

Blusher
A blusher is worn over your face as you walk down the aisle this is normally the top layer of your veil still very popular with modern brides.

Veil styles
Full gathered this is when a two tier veil is gathered from one edge of the fold to the other end and pulled together and attached to the comb.

Half gathered this style would be called a circle veil and would be just gathered in the middle but the gather does not extend all the way to the edges it stops at least 18" from either edge leaving the sides to cascade down.

Here we have provided a picture guide two show how the 2 different styles look. The veil to the left is a half gathered circle style. The veil to the right is a full gathered on to a comb style.

Another question we are frequently asked is how do I wear my veil and keep it it place ?

All our veils are finished and attached directly to the back of a comb. This should be placed into your hair with the teeth of the comb pointing downwards see the picture guide below. Your hair stylist will know all the tricks to keep your veil in place.

But just in case you are doing your own hair here is a great tip that will work wonders, twist a strand of your hair loosely around one finger, push the spiral of hair down flat against your head and push then hold the curl in place with two metal hair clips crossed then push the veil comb under the crossed clips this will effectively stop the comb from sliding out of position the veil is not going anywhere problem solved. Of course there will be a veil attached to the hair comb so you will never see the curl or clips when the veil is in its position.
